Recap

Previously on Globturds: The Series
Frustrated after NASA put them on hold for hours, Professor Roundy shouted: “If NASA won’t help, we’ll do it ourselves. Next time, we’re building a rocket!” Curveball cheered at the thought of snacks in space.

And so begins today’s catastrophe.

The Fifth Experiment: DIY Rocket Science

The Globturds cleared out Curveball’s backyard for their “rocket lab.” Supplies included:

  • Two liter soda bottles

  • Duct tape (lots of it)

  • A ladder

  • A bicycle pump

  • And, of course, a suspiciously large bag of cheese puffs

Roundy scribbled equations on a chalkboard:

“With thrust, angle, and a bit of luck, our rocket will pierce the sky and reveal the curve once and for all!”

Curveball squinted at the chalkboard.
“Professor… that looks like tic-tac-toe.”

“Silence! To the launchpad!”

The Launch Attempt

They strapped soda bottles together, taped fins made out of pizza boxes, and declared the rocket ready. Curveball decorated it with marker: “Mission: Globe Proof.”

Roundy: “Captain, prepare the fuel!”
Curveball: “Roger! One cheese puff for me, one for the rocket!”

He shoved snacks into the engine compartment. Roundy groaned.

Finally, with the bicycle pump maxed out, Roundy shouted:
“3… 2… 1… LIFTOFF!”

The rocket sputtered, fizzled, and then blasted sideways — directly into Curveball’s lawn chair, sending cheese puffs flying everywhere.

Chaos Ensues

Curveball shouted:
“It’s working! Look, it’s curving!”

Roundy screamed:
“It’s not supposed to curve THAT way!”

The rocket spun wildly, shot across the street, and crashed into Mrs. Henderson’s garden gnomes. A small explosion of soda, tape, and cheese dust covered everything in orange powder.

Mrs. Henderson emerged, furious:
“You idiots destroyed my gnomes!”

The crowd of neighbors roared with laughter, phones recording the whole fiasco.

The Cliffhanger

Covered in cheese dust, Roundy stood tall.
“This is merely a setback! Next time, we’ll go bigger — a space-level rocket!”

Curveball grinned.
“Can we use more snacks for fuel? The cheese puffs worked great!”

The audience howled. The Globturds had once again proved nothing… except that slapstick comedy is flat-out hilarious.
